The Wild Man is ONE!

Hunter's first birthday is today....I can't believe it's been a whole year. I never realized how time flies until I had him. We celebrated last night in the back yard with family and friends. It was a beautiful night, and we had a great time. Hunter had a blast; even though he had no idea what was going on, and he was wondering why everyone was singing to him! But, of course, he still managed to show off and grabbed the wick of the candle while it was still lit. No worries, though, because it didn't bother the little tough man a bit. He just went ahead and dove into the cupcake. He is quite the party animal...I don't know where he gets that?!?! Happy Birthday, baby Hunter!! We love you!!

Riding the 4-wheeler the Shore's got him while it's still in the box!

The moment I pulled this monkey out of the bag, he was giving him kisses!

The morning after...rough night.

Riding his 4-wheeler, and it plays a really awesome song over and over and over and over....thanks Shore's!

When I wasn't looking, daddy was letting him lick the bowls while I was making cupcakes!

The Family!

My beautiful niece Ellie Jane.

REALLY?? As if he doesn't look ornery enough...

Yesterday morning I had to attend a funeral, so Hunter was in the hands of my dear friends Stacy and Cheryl. And this is what I came home to. Even with hardly any nap (Cheryl says she didn't wake him up, she just needed to check his breathing. Please, even I am way past that stage) he was wound for sound. He was SO hyper, squealing at the top of his lungs and crawling all over the place. Thanks for the laugh, guys, it was needed!

Bye, Bye, Friends!!

Priceless

As Brian worked on our deck this weekend, I was able to capture this moment of my little boy watching his hero in amazement...

BIRTHDAY---Round 1

Well, Hunter is a special boy. So, special he will have more than one birthday party! And he had his first one tonight! My dad always has to leave this time of year for Florida for work, and is gone for quite awhile. This time last year he drove all night, just to make it here for Hunter's birth. Sorry, dad, I'll have to plan the next one alittle earlier in the year! He didn't want to miss out on the birthday fun, so we celebrated alittle early with Nana, Poppy, GG, Grandpa Johnson, and the neighbors! And, of course, our little Hunter was in rare form.

Hanging out on GG's lap

WOW!

For those of you who don't know, Hunter is totally obsessed with the word 'hot'. He says it no less than 5,000 times a day, and really he thinks everything is hot, but he learned this is the true meaning of HOT!

Mmmmm......

I can't believe it's been a whole year....

Labor Day Weekend

We spent an awesome Labor day weekend AT HOME!! Brian is in the process of building a deck and shed (of course at the same time, and no, neither one of them are completed...welcome to my life). So, we spent most of our time outdoors. Which was great, because it really was a beautiful weekend in the Ozarks; it was warm, but hardly any humidity, which most of you know is rare for this time of year in this part of the country!

Such a sweet dirty face!

Hunter and his new friend Alastair...they were playing with my make-up brushes; their father's would be so proud! We were getting ready to go outside to play, and I had just covered them in sunscreen, thus the crazy hair.

He is his father's son. And, yes, another dirty face.

Cramming popcorn in his mouth! And if you enlarge the picture, you can see the two bug bites in the same exact spot on each eyebrow...it was hilarious, but itchy!

Uncle Josh came over to play last night. I don't think he really realized just how busy a little boy can be!
